Is there any evidence that interstitial lung disease is hereditary? I am 57 years old, taking an immune system suppressent for arthritis- following a bout of pneumonia I am finding it very difficult to regain full lung capacity.
My father passed away in 1968 at age 63-one of the problems he faced was ILD- surguries, medications and rest were with him for three years.
