Neurological Symptoms
I first started noticing these symptoms in October/November of 2006. They seemed to get better for a short time end of November through December. But now they are more prominent again.
-Speech problems: occassional stuttering or slurring. have a hard time thinking of what I want to say and when I do, it seems to come out in somewhat of a jumbled mess.
-Vision problems: always been near-sighted but my visions is a lot more blurry now in my right eye than it used to be.
-Numbness & tingling: my hands and fingers get numb quite often and my arms have started to get numb as well. My right elbow has been constantly numb for about the past week. I also get pins and needles in my hands, feet, arms, legs, and the other day it was the right side of my face. Right now the back of my neck is tingling.
-Muscle spasms and twitching: Sometimes I have small muscle twitches in my stomach, back, arms, and legs. Other times my whole arm or leg will **** or spasm. And then other times it's just a trembling like I'm cold or something.
-Coordination difficulties: I'm a lot more clumsy lately and have problems with balance. Today at my doctor office I seemed to lean towards the left side every time he had me stand and close my eyes.
-Concentration & memory: forgetfulness is probably one of the biggest things I've noticed. And I have a hard time remembering processes that I'm supposed to do at work or something that I've just been told. I have to think really hard to figure out what I'm wanting to do.
-Pain: back, head, legs...it kinda just hurts sometimes. I've just attributed it to that's what life consists of sometimes. So I'm not even sure if it's relevant.
-Fatigue
-Mood swings
I have an MRI scheduled to find out if it's MS. My dr. also drew labs today for a wide assortment of things which I can't remember now. Is there anything else that all of this could mean?

Re: Neurological Symptoms
how old are you?..this kind of sounds like hormonal imbalance due to perimenopause...if you're older than 35, have him test your hormones...also read Lee's book, What your doctor may not tell you about premenopause

Re: Neurological Symptoms
I take Toprol for prolapse in my heart valves (it also helps my shakes sometimes). I've been on hydrocodone/oxycodone for pain (most often related to my scoliosis but also for miscarriage, toothache, and those kinds of things). I think that's the only medication I've taken lately. And it's no different than usual.

Re: Neurological Symptoms
We have ticks in the area. My daughter had a tick on her sometime over the summer. So all I know is that we do have ticks...
