Need diagnosis. Lump under skin.
Hello, I am a 21 years old guy. About 10 days ago I had a lump under the skin on my inner upper thigh. I first believed it was just a giant pimple, because the white head was the size of a small advil. Two days later, it popped, but a large amount of the lump remained. The skin has now healed over and there is an oval shaped growth still present.
-------------------------
Description:
Oval shaped, the size of 2.5 marbles.
Tracing it deeper, it thins out and connects deep into my leg/lower ****.
Some parts of it can be moved, and feel like fat cells. But the main growth is smooth and firm.
The skin looks about normal, except for a little redness.
Not experiencing a fever or other symptoms.
-------------------------
Is it serious? I scheduled a doctor appointment for next week.
I read about blood clots, and how they are dangerous and seek immediate attention, but my leg doesn't look bad. No veins showing. No tenderness. I feel that the pimple and lump are not connected. Maybe the pressure of the lump caused the pimple, but this lump cannot be popped.
Thank you.

Re: Need diagnosis. Lump under skin.
Sorry I don't have an answer for you but I have the same problem as well. This has happened to me more than once and I always speculate it as a pimple. The size of it is just too big to be one and when I feel it, it doesn't hurt. The feeling of the big lump is uneasy but it always go away after some time. The lump grows big to it's max size, then it shrinks down and goes away.
Really weird.

If it poped, it is most likely a pimple. Could also be a boil (larger type of pimple like an infected hair folicule). It does not sound serious to me. Keep the appointment and see your doctor, but in the meantime I would not be too worried. That is my personal opion, I am not a doctor, just an old person LOL.

To me it sounds like you may have a Lipoma which is a harmless benign tumor of fatty cells. I have attached a link for you to compare more closely.
