Default My Son Can't Breathe Through His Nose

I really need your assistance. My 18-month-old son has had a chronic stuffy, runny nose for most of his life. His Pediatrician thought it was a common cold for many months but then finally referred us out to an allergist. My son tested negative for allergies so we were then referred to an ENT doctor. There, it was ruled out via xrays that he didn't have sinusitis or enlarged adenoids. My son can't breathe at night. He only gets a couple hours of sleep at the most and I therefore have been sleep deprived for over a year. We have tried Benadryl, Claritin, and other antihistamine products but none have worked. They all seem to dry the mucus but he is still congested. Recently, we were told to try Sudafed but it didn't seem to help either. I am now at my wits end and don't know what to do. He can't breathe through his nose and hasn't had a good night's sleep for most of his life. Please help me. All comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Did you ever get any responses? My son sounds very similar to yours. My son is 18 months old and has had a runny nose almost him entire life also. He also is a heavy mouth breather and people are constantly asking if he is sick. He tested negative for all allergies and we were also referred to an ENT but we haven't gone yet. We would love to hear if you ever came to any conclusions or received any helpful advice. Thanks
