back in '05, i had an aneurysm (subarachnoid hemorrhage) which resulted in a fall, splitting my head open, a craniectomy and a 5 month long coma. ever since i woke up from the coma i haven't been able to move my right arm or soft palette (that is, i can barely talk). i also have limited use of my right leg.
all this has been chalked up to lost neural connections. my PLENTY of research has told me that it's nearly impossible to restore damaged neural connections but establishing new ones is likely. for this end, i'm looking to getting into a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) program. but in all likelihood, this won't be enough so i'm begging you guys to give me some other ideas i can put on my plate as well. for 5 years, i've been moving my right arm with my left (research has shown that whenever the arm is moving, it's building new neural connections) and enduring PT a LOT as well as some neurofeedback but nothing's working.
i'm not expecting a miracle or anything. just fishing for some new ideas.
