    Default painful swollen joints

I have very painful swollen joints in my hands and wrists. Which comes and goes but never disappears completely. When the bad the joints become very hot and painful to touch. Been to my doctor and he has told me not to worry about because I had an xray what came back fine. Should I get a second opinion

    Default Re: painful swollen joints

get a second opinion. Can be an arthropathy like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, an infection from lymes disease, psoriatic arthritis, or even GOUT - the list goes on. Don't leave it at that - they should not swell or become recurrently hot or painful.
