Nasal Congestion Post-Op Rhinoplasty
Three years post-op rhinoplasty, my nasal congestion is increasing and I am now swallowing frequently and clearing throat activity is increasing. Voice is becoming hoarse. It is as though the nasal vault was over-corrected ... because when I separate the nasal chambers it is alleviated. The surgeon dismissed it (naturally) telling me to take anti-histamines. I do not know whether or not an ENT can help or I should request the surgeon to repair it.
I thought I would have to live with it but the secondary smptoms are disturbing and I use my voice for my living. Anyone have experience?

Re: Nasal Congestion Post-Op Rhinoplasty
Go see another ENT - a second opinion is needed. Of course the first guy who did the surgery isn't going to say anything is wrong. Use the nasal sprays religiously so that you know for sure that the sprays won't help and you can tell your dr. this. Also, allergies to something new may be causing all your drainage. Good luck.
