Please help! My 3 y/o son hasn't grown in over a year!
When he was born he was in the 90th percentile. He continued to hover around there dropping to about the 50th percentile around the age of 6 months. From there he just seemed to fall behind more and more. My husband and I are both about average I am 5'7 and he is 6' even. SO his midparental height is well above what his current growth curve is showing. We have seen 2 pediatricians and 1 pediatric endocrinologist. He has had 4 bacterial infections in his life that required hospitalization. He has had so many viruses that lead to temps of 104 + so many times it is ridiculous. He had PE tubes in his ears when he was 3 months old b/c he had chronic ear infections from the time he was 2 weeks old. Now bear in mind this child never saw a bottle. Not even once. I breastfed him for 22 months.. Of course at 6 months I added babyfoods and at around 9 months soft table foods like mashed potatoes etc. At a year he started receiving appropriate dairy intake. I am befuddled at how this keeps slipping through the cracks. HIs somatamedin levels were wayyy low, but then his IGF-1 didn't show any real deficiency. His TSH,CBC, and all that other common bloodwork and peeing in a cup came back fine. He had a sweat test to check for CF b/c he has had a runny nose literally since the day he was born. He was constipated from about the age of 5 months which is usually unheard of in a breastfed infant. Does ANYONE have any similiar symptoms or have heard of anything similiar?

test him for celiac disease. It is a malnuritment condition and can cause undergrowth problems.
This isn't the main symptom of celiac disease but the symtoms vary from neurological to stomach conditions.
I was diagnosed with it and I grew 12 inches because i started getting the nutients i was lacking.
I know many people who are short or very small because they have celiac disease. Some dont grow at all.
I would get him tested.
good luck!!
