Suffering from strange attacks/ seizures ... Please help!

For several years nos I have been suffering from these attacks that have gone undiagnosed. From panic attacks to absence seizures, i'v looked into everything, had a couple of seemingly normal EEG's.
The attacks, which last about 30 seconds, come on unprovoked at any time... I can usually sense one about to come on as it feels as a sort of wave that creacendoes and passes. It starts like a very strong feeling of déjà vu. Almost immobilizing, and then a sort of strange numbness all over my body, my hearing feels muddled and I have the feeling of being truly beside myself... If I'm walking or talking when an attack hits, I usually can't keep going ... I stop mid-sentence, or lose my train of thought, I may havebtobsit or justvstand until it passes. My sister once witnessed one and said I just had a kind of glazed expression.... Which sounds like absence. Seizures, but my EEG came back normal. Has anyone else ever had something similar? Can anyone tell me what this might be? I am truly at my wit's end, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Environmental hypoxia is a condition in high altitudes such as mountains where the reduced partial pressure of oxygen available leads to hypoxia. What are the symptoms of Hypoxia?
You may not even recognize the symptoms of hypoxia because hypoxia is insidious in its onset. The signs and symptoms can be different for every person and may not occur in the same progression as listed below. Therefore, it is important to be aware of all the signs and symptoms.

Hi,
I have the same thing, except mine are a little worse. Last week i was driving and had an episode, luckily my sister was in the car 2 steer the wheel and slam it in2 park while i was mumbling, crying then screaming 2 make it stop. i cant remember any of this, well not much of it really. Just wondering if you respond to anyone during it? I dont hear anything or see anything at all, sometimes i pass out, then wake up not knowing how i got there.
I originally thought i was going crazy because of the deja vu (felt like id lost years worth of memories). It took me while 2 go 2 the doctors as i didnt want 2 tell her hey i think im going crazy but she seems 2 think i have some type of epilepsy. In the mean time my doctor told me not 2 drive until i see a neurologist. Ive done some research on this and my friend also has a kind of epilepsy. She has had Brain scans done and nothing showed up however she gets seziures so the doctors still believe its a type of epilepsy. If i were you i would find another doctor, maybe someone who is conducting trials (my friend is currently seeing one now after 4 specialists). If i dont get answers ill be pursuing that path.

It sounds like a seizure. And the EEG can be normal with seizures. For more info, I suggest going to http://www.coping-with-epilepsy.com and they'll answer your questions and help you.

I used to have those type of aura seizures you describe. I usually didn't know I was having them, just would stand still for a moment, but would feel kind of a sort of deja vu weirdness following it.
I had a few MRI's until a brain tumor was actually found. Since I was a child when the seizures first began, my family thought I was trying to pull something because everything showed normal in my first MRI.
My tumor was removed and benign, and over 10 years later I have the same seizures (I believe they're called simple partial for Epileptics like myself) if I'm not medicated.

Hey, When i saw my neuro he told me that alot of the time MRI's and EEG's come up normal. Your brain is normal when your not having a seziure therefore it doesnt show anything but there is more chance of showing something on an EEG as ur brain waves run diffrently to someone who doesnt have epilepsy. I just had mine done last week and dont no the result's but my neuro did say if it came up normal, he wanted me 2 go in and do a sleep EEG. Anyways if your neuro thinks you have epilepsy he should be putting you on meds to see how you go. I would talk 2 him a little more about where 2 go from here. Also did he ask your sister 2 be there for the appt? My neuro wanted my sister in there coz she see's them most of the time. Hope all goes well
