alchoholic partner
Hi, i would really love some advice, my partner of 9 years is an alcoholic, and when he is really drunk he seems to go into some sort of seizure, he cannot move from were he is sitting he shakes and his eyes go back and forth, he can remember this, but i thought people coming off drink were just like this
i would be very gratful if you could give me a name for this, as i am ready to walk out the door if he does not get help.

Re: alchoholic partner
You'll never change an alcoholic unless he wants to change himself.
In his defense, there is probably a physical reason why he chooses to drink himself to death - a craving for alcohol to ward off an infection of some type, for example, only the infection has gained control. Perhaps the infection is in his brain, thus the seizure.
That's not scientifically proven or anything, just what I believe.

exactly, he is probably having a seizure from alcohol poisoning or has developed diabetes and having problems with that...it will be a big problem for you and I hope you do better with your next partner...just don't look for him in a bar..
