Lump/Spot on neck

hi i am 16 yrs old, i have had a lump on my neck for about a month and a half, it went down and came up again, i am not sure weather this is a spot, as i do have acne, but can you get spots like that? if anyone has any ideas, please tell me,

My husband,within the last month and a half has also developed a lump on his neck, and a few on both his arms... the 1 on his neck is the worst.. and I recently found out that it is a carbuncle... this is a type of boil... my husband is in a lot of discomfort with his. I found the only home remedy for this is to take a really hot CLEAN rag and hold it to the lump (when it cools you need to reheat it) do this for 30 mins each day and it should start to leak out some puss, it will feel better after it gets some of the pressure of it . you will have to do this every day till you think its better....

The description of your condition could be an indication of a cyst. A cyst has a tendency to increase and decrease in size, can become inflamed, feel tender and often times, swell to full capacity and rupture. Even if it ruptures, it could return if the sac within the cyst is not completely removed. If you have insurance, it would be a great ideal to visit a dermatologist-good luck.
