Skin Rash
Ever since I have come back from a vacation in the Carribean one month ago I have had a rash. It is small-pinhead scattered red bumps that itch. they have no natural abcess and are not clustered. They go away and reappear in different spots. I have not changed laundry detergents or any personal products. Noone else I am around is having this problem, including the person I went on vacation with. The sparse rash is mainly on my back and my arms and legs. I have never gotten any types of skin poision reactions (ie: poison ivy) because I am not allergic to it. I normally have very clear fair skin.....and these bumps are not the type of reaction i get to dry skin in the winter. Can ANYONE tell me what this is being caused by? I have looked all over, and I just want it to go away but the benedryl and hydrocortizone cream are only making the itch more toletable. Any ideas or direction to look would be very helpful.

Re: Skin Rash
Try looking up Dermatitis Herpetiformis. I have the same problem and I think this is what it is. Came out of no where, w/ no reason. I am going to try to take wheat out of my diet and see if that helps. You can get a blood test to see if you have celiac disease, which is the cause of this type of rash.

Re: Skin Rash
I just had a NAET treatment yesterday from an eccentric naturopathic doc. She had this acupressure machine that thumped over my spine and after about 15 minutes she let me rest for another 20 minutes. I had severe allergies/sinusitis/asthma prior to going. A half hour later I could breath deeply and today I was outside in the Juniper with no problems!
NAET is amazing. Please check this out as when I was in the office there were several pics of various rashes/hives/ etc that had cleared up through treatment. This treatment reprograms the body to stop the allergic response. www.naet.com for more info.
Best wishes.

Re: Skin Rash
For the last 3 weeks I have had these red itchy spots like you mentioned.
I went to one doc and he said atopic dermatitis. He gave me some meds which did not help. Today I went to the ER and he said I had Pityriasis Rosea. He just started me on new meds. I will let you know tommorow if I get any relief.

Help! My husband and I have the exact same rash! It started the last day of our vacation (we were in the Bahamas).
I can't figure out what it is.

Re: Skin Rash
Hi, I was in the Bahamas on Moon Cay Beach and I broke out into a rash on both of my ankles. It did not itch, but became very red and inflamed. It lasted about 2 weeks. I
put Aoe Vera on it and that seemed to work.
I never did find out what caused it. I have wondered if it could possibly be caused by
a tic. Hopefully not, as they can carry lyme disease. I still can tell where it was,
because the skin is a bit discoloured. If you find out what it is, let me know.

Re: Skin Rash
Hi dear erinsmogor.
In this case, it probably is not an allergy
. In theory, these symptoms may be caused by reaction of the skin to the bleach, but it is very doubtful. You may be just some kind of infection. Personally, I am inclined to believe that you have shingles
, all the signs you have .... But I do not advise to take my opinion seriously. Not engaged in self-treatment. You must pass the tests. I advise you to go to a dermatologist, do not run.
