shoulder & spine pain with fatigue and thirst
I have horrible chronic pain and aching in my left shoulder and upper spinal cord that extends outward on both sides. I have partial numbness in the top middle of my back and can hear gritty sounds when I move my head back and forth (as well as my knees). I am constantly squirming and stretching and most always in discomfort. I am always tired, my memory suffers and I can't concentrate. The worst days (which are more often than not) I feel sickly in general seem to be thirsty (but I don't really want to drink, nor does drinking make it go away). It is hard to keep my arms up, my shoulders get so tired. Everything seems worse as the day goes on. but mornings are painful as well. I am 36 but I feel 136. I live in constant fear of not being able to provide for myself in the years to come. I have also been diagnosed with narcolpsy and cataplexy and have been taking dextroamphetamine, effexor, trazadone, and wellbutrin (in varying degrees and combinations for years). My narcolepsy doctors agree that the fatigue that I experience now is unrelated to the narcolepsy ( narcolepsy is a more "sleepy" immediate, feeling). I have seen neurologists and rheumatoid specialists. I had higher than norm levels of CPK and Aldolase and had a muscle biopsy which showed some necrosis. x-rays were normal. Physical therapy helped as long as I didn't lift anything or exert myself at all but I could not live that way and make a living, etc. Rheumatory was ruled out. What kind of doctor should I go to? Has anyone heard of all these symtpms together? ...help! thx kim

Re: shoulder & spine pain with fatigue and thirst
I have the same symptoms however the pain is in my legs and feet mostly. I can not get an answer, just pain pills. My CK level was high and has been for at least 6 months. Have you found any answers?

I am the same!
Read my thread, Lindsayx12. I have all of those symptoms too. My'Slept my 30's away' and 'dead as you can get with a pulse' might be helpful if we can compare how our condition has progressed and what has worked, or in my case, not worked thus far in finding a way to get better.
