pituitary tumor? help!
Hi, i'm 16 years old, and recently I've been having horrible headaches. I've looked online at a lot of things, and thought maybe i have fibermyalgia, or a pituitary tumor. my symptoms include:
-recent decline in eyesight
-headaches
-sweating
-bags under my eyes
-blushing/headaches/sweating occur often in stressful situations or while i'm in front of a large group
-a tumor? on my head
I recently found a bump on the left side of my head, which my doctor felt, and said it was probably a benign tumor and a diameter of about 1 cm. I think that some of my symptoms reflect a pituitary tumor, so my question is:
Does the placement of my tumor fit one of a pituitary tumor?
if not..
what do you think my symptoms show?

Re: pituitary tumor? help!
Dear Potential Tumor Girl;
The vast majority of tumors are benign and therefore are not cancerous which is good. You need to be worked up badly by doctors who know what they are doing. I sincerely hope that your doctor sent you to a specialist to be tested more fully.
At the same time for what it's worth, after having a MRI, a host of doctors thought that I had Pituitary tumor which turned out to be only a swollen pituitary gland which was caused by a Dysfunctional Pituitary Gland. No surgery was required.
Your symptoms are severe enough however that I sincerely hope you are following this up with specialist. Hope all works out well for you. MGM.
