Baby with little hope
We know of a family that their baby was just diagnosed with this. It saddenes me that we have no clue what causes this and why newborns get this. What kind of support can we give to this family that are fixing to loose their precious daighter besides prayer?

True, I agree. I have also recently seen an infant with Ohtahara syndrome. He was so cute, now he shows signs of developemental regression, with uncontrolled fits even on strong drugs like vigabatrin and epilim.

We have a support group for families dealing with Ohtahara Syndrome. You can find us at: www.ohtaharasyndrome@yahoogroups.com. We are raising our grandson. He was diagnosed with OS at birth and just celebrated his 11th birthday last December. Please pass the information on to any families you know of with OS. We are here to help. Thank you.

Are you sure there is no related cause at birth or since? Are you interested in having the medical records reviewed? May email sbork@medlawresources.com
