    Default Shin trauma

    I hit my shin on monday. I have been hobbling around all week (I walk a lot at work). Do I apply cold (minimal swelling), or heat (for healing/pain)? How about meds like asprin, ibuprofin, or Aleve?

    Use ice the first 48 hours,then heat.Yes to the antiinflammatory drugs.
