Thyroid
I have intolerance to cold, weight gain (Even on strict doctor supervised diets with meds for dieting), fatigue, poor appetite, My hair falls out (evenly all over not like receding hairline, my nails break really easy, & Irregular menstrual periods. the Doctors always listen to my symptoms and say they think its Thyroid problems, Then test me and say its Borderline but still normal and they do nothing. All the women in my family also have diagnosed Thyroid problems, Mother, aunts, grandmother, great grandmother.
I cant afford to go to a specialist and I'm so tired of being tired and cold all the time. Are there any good otc or holistic remedies for Thyroid problems? My grandmother suggested there are but didn't say what.

Re: Thyroid
Have you ever had an anti-thyroid antibody test done?

Re: Thyroid
You dont need to see a specialist to have the simple bloodtest to see if you have a thyroid problem. Any GP can test you.

Re: Thyroid
My doctor told me I was borderline thyroid for over 2 years, in the end I became so unwell I developed thyroid eye disease and auto immune problems. I changed my doctor - and you should don't leave your health in the hands of a fool.
