Nostril Swelling and Pain

here is a little background on what's been going on. For the past 2 weeks i have been waking up with a dry nose and throat which i think directly contributed to my nose bleeding. My nose bleeds were not freeflowing but more of a small amount of blood quickly drying up in my nose and mixing with the mucus.

Now. The bleeding is gone but, this morning, my right nostril was swollen and firm and and painful. The best way for me to describe it is like having a pimple under the skin that doesn't surface. I don't think too much about it but now my left nostril is doing the same thing but it started swelling and becoming firm a coulpe hours ago. The funny thing is that it is strictly the nostril openings near the tip of the nose but the front/middle of my nose is not experiencing any of these symptoms.


Should I be worried?

I read your post and the same thing is happening to me. My nose is swollen and very painful, especially at night. There is some sort of ulcer inside of it, I tried putting some Neosporin inside but that made me sick to my stomach-I am very worried and will see a specialist as soon as possible. This started in my right nostril and that cleared up only to be severe in my right nostril. Your post was in Nov. let me know what happened.

Hi, the same thing seems to happen to me. Tip of the nostril is firm and pains.. i can see blood now and then drying up and causing pain. Its been passing from right to left over a few days. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
