my friends baby has an infection help needed
Hello.. Please can someone help us...
My friend rang me tonight with concerned. She recently gave birth to twin girls. amonth old, they were cared for in hospital in incubators... last week they were transfered to another hospital near to there mothers town... Today she noticed marks from were tubes were placed in the babies arms ... It turns out one of the babies has an infection... The last hospital are saying it was from the first hospital that the baby had the infection... and that they are aware of it... Photographs have been taken by the last hospital ..for investigation.. well thats what they told my friend.
My friend is upset, as it was only until my friend noticed the marks /bruises on her baby arms that the nurses only then decided to tell her that it is an infection that may be from previous hospital from needles/tubes.. The mother wants to know what it may be... and why are the nurses keeping this information from her and taken photographs of her babys arms.... The babies are premature born so they have not been home since birth, and in the care of hospitals... She just wants to know what is wrong with her baby...
please help us thankyou

She needs to stop talking with the nurses and make an appointment to talk with the doctor. They should not be hiding the children's medical condition from you. Appropriate follow up letters to the head of the hospitals for investigation should be send; if need be, an attorney may be consulted.

First,Iagree with Monsterlove.Next,I'm worried about an infection from where the needles were, which can cause sepsis(infection in the bloodstream).

Thankyou for your replies...
I went to the hospital yesterday.. they made me wait one hour before seeing the doctor...one nurse was so rude to us...
The baby has an infection in her arm and stomach now.. and they said she will need surgery to allow the nasty stuff out of her arm... as it appears to turned into a sist... blood tests will be done daily and xray her stomach...wasim-hussein.last-memories.com (RIP son)
