Unhappy small pink spots on *****

I am a 28 yo male. About 5 weeks ago I did something I'm very ashamed of: I engaged in annoymous genital play with another male. We engaged in mutual masterbation and rubbed our erect penises together. We did not use protection when we rubbed our penises together.

About a week later I noticed small pink dots on my *****. They are mostly on one small area, with 4 dots in another place. They are small and pink, like a small ingrown hair or small pimple. The don't hurt or cause any type of discomfort, don't itch, don't seem to be filled with puss and have not resulted in "sores." I've tried a number of cleansing liquids and powders in my medicine cabinet, but they have been there for 4 weeks now and have not gone away.

I've used a bit of mud meant for acne, and this seems to help a bit, but has not resolved the symptom entirely.

This has all been very distressing for me, and 2 weeks ago I took a test because of this for a list of STDs, including Herpes, HIV, Chlamydia and several other diseases and came up negative for everything. The test was done by taking blood and urine and so the doctor did not look at my symptoms. I'm relieved that I'm negative for all of those diseases, but I still have no idea what's going on or why I'm experiencing this symptom.

Does anyone have any ideas? Any thoughts on how this can be treated?

I have no health insurance and have already spent hundreds of dollars on STD tests. Any help would really be appreciated!

It might be that you have genital warts, given the fact that you had some relief from an acne med. If this is the case, they need to be treated by a physician or physician assistant who needs to exam the spots. Good luck, and no need to feel ashamed.

If I have genital warts does it mean that I have a virus that will be in my body forever?

Am I contageous? Will I give everyone I have sex with genital warts for the rest of my life?

Will I have to tell every partner I ever slepp with again about my condition?

IF what you have is indeed genital warts they can be treated. Once treated and healed they usually do not return. They are contageous while present, but not once they are healed, so, no, you would not have to tell a partner that you had them once healed. You need to see a physician to hve these treated. You can many answers at WebMD.com.

If cost is an issue try going to planned parenthood. I know, pink dots on your ***** have nothing to do with being pregnant, but pp still works with people who may be suffering from STDS. Good luck and don't be to hard on yourself. Your only crime is not using a condom and bad judgement is not worth forgoing medical treatment.

I am the original poster and thought I'd give an update.

I went to a free STD clinic and the doctor there told me I had molluscum contagiosum. It's a bummer, but not as serious as many of the things I thought it might be.

I am presently experimenting with a treatment which seems to help.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions and support. Be careful out there - don't make the mistake of have any type of unprotected sexual contact like I did!

I feel your pain, I contracted this also somewere, (I think in Mexico) I have it in my genital area and at first I felt really bad, but now I know how easy it is to catch something. I do feel lucky in a way knowing that this will eventually go away, and I can live the rest of my life making much, much wiser desicions about my body and with whom I share it with. My boyfriend at the time said he had absoultly never had any bumps anywhere on him and I never had seen any bumps on him, so all I could do was believe him and chalk it up to be something on the bedspread in Mexico while we were intimate. All that matters now is that I have it and do not want to spread it to family members. Please help! What is the treatment you are using that is working? I have tried freezing, duck tape and boosting my immune system. I also wanted to add, that this definitely can be contracted with the use of a condom! So, please beware of that also. If you are mature enough to have sex you are mature enough to inspect you're partner and get tested for STD's that cannot be seen on the surface of skin. Not trying to preach to anybody, just don't want anyone to go through what I am, or worse!

So once you are diagnosed with "warts" is it certain that anyone you have sex with will get it if protection isn't used? Or if you are infected, once you get in under control is it not contagious anymore?

Didn't you say you were diagnosed with molluscum? Yes, it is a type of wart, but not a genital wart. It's just a skin virus that is very contagious. It may take a long time to go away, but once it does, from what I am told, it is gone forever, unless you come in contact with it again. It doesn't live in your body like the wart virus. I'm told it is just within the dermis. What is it that you are trying to get rid of the bumps? I'm not sure though if you said you have molluscum or genital warts.
