strange lacy rash
anybody know what this is? it was there for about 2 hours and this morning I found several small "red pen dots" about 1/16" inch around my left breast
also, I am lightheaded, sluggish, tired, not hungry, stiffness in upper back and all sorts of other things...

Re: strange lacy rash
I thought heat rash involved bumps or raised skin. this was flat and under my skin with no raised areas at all, no welting or scaling either. thanks for trying

Good thing you have a picture to show the doctor. I would start with the Dermatologist and if that doesn't help then see a Rheumatologist.

Re: strange lacy rash
Hey - I have a similar rash - but mine isn't as wide spread... it started at the front inside of my ankles and is spreading over my feet and lower legs, sometimes on my arms too. I have been super sick with extreme weakness and lightheaded ness, lack of hunger - or just to tired to make anything, or bother eating. achy, stiff, low temp - lasted several weeks. Its better now - the sick part - but kind of comes and goes a bit. the rash seems to be inceasing in coverage area. It is also under the skin - a reddening rather than raised, or scaley. doesn't itch tho it is warmer to the touvh thatn the rest of the skin... I just had a load of labs run and nothing is wrong except my blood sugar are high enuf that the doc has me testing it - that's new.
oh! the rash gets redder in the shower or when I exert myself - does yours?
Otherwise I haven't got a clue!
I have chronic fatigue - have had for 2 years - but this was different - worse - and I have never had a rash before. Wierd and disconcerting.
Looks like Fifth Disease in the picture, but that's usually in kids...
Good luck! I'll let u know if my doc finds anything!
peace
Elaine

No, it's not heat rash, but get to a doctor. It looks like a spider bite/poison going up your leg. Do you have a bite anywhere or just the discoloration? You may have got bitten in bed, so check for a bite and under your sheets..

Have you had a fever recently? Bc by the looks of it, could be Rosiola...very similar lacy rash would appear as a result post-fever.

Re: strange lacy rash
It looks like Fifths disease (Human parvo virus). Its not too serious. Its not very common in adults, so it is often overlooked by a general doctor. Children dont usually have a hard time with the symptoms, but the symptoms are so much worse for adults. I have a post on here that you may want to look up. You can have flu like symptoms, sore throat, low fever, but the worst is joint pain. The rash and other symptoms will come and go over a few weeks, can spread to other parts of the body, may itch or not, can be raised or not.

Anytime you have a change in the breast, start with your physician immediately. If you don't get results, ask for a referral (if needed for insurance) to a breast specialist. The sooner you have the appointment, the sooner you can get treatment. Fifth's disease usually occurs in children 5-15 years old.
Better to be safe than sorry. Best to you.
