i am in the same situation! this would be my third pregnancy if i am, i have 1 boy and 1 girl and both were different, and im nauseous and wore out and emotional and now im lactating again. i still have my nuvaring in but i took a test and it was negative. could me still having it in give me a false result i do not want another baby and im so scared. and if im not y am i making colostrum again? my breast are so sore , and the test was a dollar tree one

I had unprotected sex Friday and then again Saturday moring. He did NOT finish in me, this I am almost positive at least about Friday night. I have been off of the Nuvaring for about two weeks (after having a normal period) when this had happened. I took Plan B One Step Saturday afternoon. So my question is, what are the possiblities of me becoming pregnant? I have been having the symptoms of stomach pains and gassiness. I have to wait two weeks to take a test to see if I am or not, but what are the odds? Does anyone know?

Plan B can cause lower abdominal pains. I read online that taking Plan B within 24 hours reduces your chance of getting pregnant by 95%. (However, you also had unprotected sex two weeks after getting off of Nuvaring, which is right around when most women would ovulate). Keep in mind that if you don't want to get pregnant and he's not wearing a condom, a small amount of pre-ejaculation (containing sperm) is still often being released in you, even if he doesn't "finish" inside of you. Risking it and relying on Plan B causes you unnecessary stress. Take care of yourself and good luck.

Last month after I stopped using the Nuva Ring, I had the most incredible pregnancy symptoms. (nipples swelled and sensitive, extreems tiredness, peeing constantly, and one spot of pink blood which I could only explain as implantation bleeding). My body has never had such symptoms, even after comming down from the pill and the patch. I still am experiencing the nipple systems even after my first perfectly timmed period. This however is not a documented symptom. I only found two other women online who have experienced the same exact symptoms after comming off of nuvaring. They were saying that it may last for months for me.

I am experiencing the same thing. I'm 32 and have used some kind of hormonal birth control off and on sinse I was 16. I've miscarried twice, the pregnancies being accidental and the miscarriages unexpected. Finally my husband and I have agreed to start trying to conceive and so I left my ring out after my last period was over with. After about a week and a half of not puting the ring back in I started having pregnancy symptoms, sore nipples and breasts, sharp pain near my right ovary for about a day, fatigue, morning sickness, poor concentration, mood swings, constipation, and hot flashes. I'm miserable, especially because my home pregnancy tests keep coming back negative. The first day of my last period was Feb. 22 and it's already March 25. I feel like my body is broken and I'm seriously questioning my ability to conceive after having prevented for so long. I other 2 accidental pregnancies were once on oral contraceptives and the most recent one about 6 months ago on the Nuvaring. I only new something was weird with the Nuvaring one because my period was so light. Now it's like my body is telling me I'm pregnant but my tests show I'm not. So confused. How long is it going to take us to get pregnant now that we've finally chosen to start trying???
