Burning Sensation in thoat?
Hi all,
I have been suffering from what I can describe as burning strange sensation in the back of my throat or between there and what would be my nasal passage. I am constantly aware of it and swallowing more persistantly. It is a bit worse after I have eaten and strangley after chewing chewing gum???
Plus it feels like there is maybe 'liquid' back there?? Also have a slight cough / clearing throat occasionally. Sorry about being a bit vague, but its so hard to describe it! Any help would be so much apprecited as I am bit anxious! !

Hi!
I suffer from that as well. U should get urself checked with the ENT specialist. in my case hayfever triggered it and now I have this almost all yr around.
The doctor diagnoised me with allergic synus.u probably suffer from same. get it checked cos sometimes u ned to operate on that.As I type this I am suffering from this and relate to how it ruins ur day to day life.
I am on medicines and a nasal spray that does give lot of relief. stay away from dirt and smoke.

Re: Burning Sensation in thoat?
Good Evening stidola,
I've been getting a lil feeling like that as well, small burning sensation and gurglling feeling in the throat. I went ot my ENT about 3 weeks ago, which she saw a small swelling in the in my throat. But I told her that I'm a singer as well. Well even besides that, Ive been having small symptoms which I've been getting concerned about. So she decided to set a Barium test done. I just had that done yesterday {Thursday, 8/30}, which they xray the esophagus, throat and the stomach area. I should receive my results next week. Have you thought about making an appt to see your doctor? I'll keep you posted of the results. I also have to clear my throat, i'm wondering if its just an the area that we live in, pollution!! It's so crazy how so many people like us are going through so much.

Re: Burning Sensation in thoat?
I too have had a burning sensation in my throat, it is not sore to swallow and I also have a burning sensation on my neck, the skin on my neck at the back is very sensitive, like it was sunburnt but it isn't. I am a 57 yr male and the doctor has swabbed the throat and nothing, I was on antibiotics and nothing helped, I asked him if it was throat cancer and he said I would have sores in my mouth and throat and I don't...could this be stress...this has been going on for about three months.....does anybody else have similar symptoms...I am going crazy with this....any help would be appreciated.

Re: Burning Sensation in thoat?
I just got this two days ago. I had a sore throat and thought it was one of my tonsils, so I went to my doc and he gave me anti-biotics. The sore throat went away, but shortly after I woke up with a slight burning sensation right where your nasal passage meets your throat (on the left side, behind the uvula)). Throat drops help, but the sensation comes back. I'm going to probably go back to my doc, because tonsilitis was not the problem. I thought I may have picked whatever this is up from someone at the office, but they all had colds - I don't feel achy or sick. Does anyone know exactly what this is? I have difficult beleiving it's acid-reflux/heartburn.
