    My BF contracted Hep B while i was 6 months pregnant.
    My question is can u contract Hep B just by drinking accesively??
    Before we met he was a very heavy drinker and for most of the begining of our relationship. My other question is what other ways could he have contracted it? The docs are stuck they're not sure how he contracted it. They keep asking him if he tried to OD on tylenols or if he had a certain type of sea food. ISN"T IT CONTRACTED SEXUALLY???

    I am new to the site and noticed your post. I hope by now you have discovered the truth--that Hepatitis B is not contracted just by heavy drinking. It is a VIRAL hepatitis. Your boyfriend caught it someway. It is contagious. You don't get a viral hepatitis just by drinking or taking too much tylenol. That would be a NON-viral hepatitis. If they said it is Hep B, then he has some explaining to do. You can research this on-line--there are lots of good web sites that explain it.
