I have the same symptoms. The bottom of my feet burns after 10 minutes of standing. I have L4-L5 disc problem. But my doctor says they are unrelated.

Get tested for Raynaud's! I had similar symptoms to you although I was able to stand for atleast an hour. Raynaud's is a hypersensitivity to cold and stress. A good test for yourself and a doctor would be to observe if the tips of your toes turn blue when exposed to air conditioning.

Maybe try a chiropractor? I've had burning in my feet and had lots of tests done by doctors; x-ray, nerve tests, MRI's of my legs, spine, and brain and they found nothing. Then I went to a chiropractor in one day he looked at the x-ray the doctors took and he said I had a pinched nerve. In about two weeks of going there the pain reduced so much.

Hi I am posting after starting this thread 5 years ago, seems crazy. I have found what I think may be a diagnosis, but no cure...so not a lot of help. Anyway, it's a condition called Erythromelalgia or burning feet syndrome. If you have hot, burning, painful feet for no reason, or after exercising/standing, it seems to be the disorder. The causes can be different depending on the person. Still, I wish there was a cure...http://www.erythromelalgia.org/Home.aspx

I have this exact same problem, but all the doctors i have seen just say, "oh its age", its not age, its getting worse as the months go on, and to have it seem like no noe is listening is driving me up the wall.

I also get excruciating pain in my lower back and hips aswell, i find that lying on the floor with my legs up on a chair and my fist or a small pillow under back helps, but i cant sit like this forever, please someone help, as it seems that no gp or doctor is listening to me..
Wow it makes me sad, yet somehow comforted to see so many people struggling with this. I think it may be Erythromelalgia, have you heard of it? There is no cure. I haven't been officially diagnosed but it almost describes exactly what I have.

I have the same symptoms. Cannot stand for even a couple of minutes without my feet burning for the rest of the day. Walking seems to help so I thought it was circulation but vein docs say it is not. Symptoms got worse during ivf treatment (3rd ivf, 3rd baby), and now one year later I have a baby but symptoms are worse. I thought drug effects are short term but maybe they are not. I am suspecting lupron but i could not find much info on its long term effects and how to counter those effects, or it could be something else. Saw neurologist who wants to do nerve conduction study but that just sounds very painful and not necessarily helpful.

if you have any feedback, would love to hear. thanks
Any updates on this? I think the condition may be Erythromelalgia...but, there is no cure. It's really rare supposedly.

We live in Switzerland and I don't know what sort of a doctor to take him to about it. He has a hypermobility disorder and pronated feet so I guess the tarsal tunnel thing could be a problem. He has worn special orthotic insoles in his shoes and that hasn't helped with this problem. He also has dysautonomia symptoms and has fainted a few times.
By the way, you mentioned that your Doctor tested you for Mercury poisoning. Chronic Mercury poisoning doesn't show in blood tests and urine tests can give false readings too. If you are worried about this being a potential problem try looking through some of the forums on Mercury toxicity. There are several in the yahoo groups.
Back to my Son- anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks, Kittykins
