Re: Epstein Barr
There are in fact 3 levels of positive : Acute, Chronic, and past...
as to other diseases.. I am looking for a similar info.
I have had the combo of EBV/Hpylori 2X in less than 12 mos, and symptomatically suspect at least 2X a year for the last 8 years.
It sucks.
So far no answers and worse Doctors take the same path each time... GI.. and it always leads down the same blank road.
So, I will be watching this one
My best thoughts for a speedy recovery

Re: Epstein Barr
I have been looking the past few weeks on EBV titers and what they mean. I don't think anyone knows.
My 11yo dd is sick. Mono negative. EBV positive. She was sick like this in Jan., but not as severe. They said she had EBV titers---they were 106. She only missed maybe 2 days of school with the "cold" symptoms, but missed 1 month of swim team.
This time----she is very sick. So far---22 days of school missed. This will be going on week 6 of her symptoms. This past Friday--I asked about her EBV titers and they were over 2000. The Dr knows nothing! We are being referred to Children's---but with just a "different" ped Dr in an adolescent clinic. I want a specialist!!!
Maybe she doesn't have CFS. Maybe it's something worse!!
