Blood in urine ONLY after ejaculation
Everytime I ejaculate, I have a bloody clot in my urine and a full bladder of blood. I pea once and it is all gone. Sometimes blood in the ejaculation too, sometimes not. No pain on the ejaculation, but anxiety and worry when releasing that clot for fear of a clog. All tests are negative. HELP PLEASE

Anyone hear anything back on this?
Same thing happening here. Doc said not to worry, and it is most likely a local injury (popping blood vessels - sorta like a nosebleed). Still causes great anxiety, especially when waiting for that clot to pass.
Thanks.

Re: Blood in urine ONLY after ejaculation
MY BF had the same thing on and off for a few years. Then it stopped for about 5 years. It started again 2 years ago. One night have intercourse he urinated blood but it was a bit different that usual. For over a day and a half every time he urinated it was less and less urine but still had a dinge of blood.
I took him to the ER when he was not able to urinate at all. They inserted a catheter but no urine would come out. SO they inserted a syringe and maually drew out the urine. He had over 1 cup of blood clots that was clogging up the flow of urine. Your bladder can only hold 16 ounces of urine comfortably and he had 18.
They think he had kidmey stones that passes through and tore the tissue. With each ****** it reopened the tear.
They did lithotripsy on his kidneys and broke up the stones that were left. So far so good ..it's been 3 years now and all is well.

Re: Blood in urine ONLY after ejaculation
I have had the same problem for years. It has caused me great worry and a lot of pain when blood clots stopped me from being able to urinate. The answer is to stop taking your heartburn medication(cimetadine or ranitadine or tagament etc) After years of this problem, that was the simple answer.Promise!!! benrae@live.ca

Re: Blood in urine ONLY after ejaculation
I've had the same problem for 3 weeks now. Im 29 years old If I had blood in my semen for the first time, and after sex I was peeing blood. I've Been to the eurologist who told me not to worry but it is still kinda scary. Since the first occurance I have had A few normal ejaculates. Last Night I had sex an my semen was clear and normal, I though I was all the way better, then went to go pee and it was pure blood!! My doctor never told me to abstain from sex. Does anyone know if any or how much time would be good to abstain from sex to help this problem hear. The doc seems to think it was a bloodvessel and it should go away on its own. Am I delaying the healing process by engaging in sexual activity? I'm not having much, like once a week, but does anyone know how much time I should take a break or anything else I can do to help heal. I'm not taking any other medication? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Blood in urine ONLY after ejaculation
talking from experience, you have to stop drinking any alcohol, stop hot spicy foods and reduce the way you seat for a long time.this is coused by excessive drinking, excessive sex or limited sex, prolonged ejaculation, and spicy foods, seating for a long period of time. i have stop drinking alcohol and stop having any spicy foods and i drink water like i take orange juice on a daily basis and its all gone and fine.

Resolution that worked for me
I've had this 3 times over as many years and it has not recurred since I had an operation.
Some background:
I don't know how many times I had a cystoscopy.
I had a CT scan.
I had a scan for kidney stones.
I had blood tests for prostate cancer, twice.
And all came back negative (or positive depending on how you look at it)
Finally my consultant took some samples of tissue up the urethra near the prostate and the results came back that I had some polyps. What he believed was happening was the ejaculate was coming from the prostate under pressure and impacting against the polyps and causing them to bleed.
So he suggested putting a soldering iron (or something something similar) up my tube and cauterising the polyps. (Yes under a general!!!)
This resolved my problem.
I don't know whether this will resolve your problem too but at least it's an avenue to explore with your consultant.
I wish you all the best.
