Excessive Burping..
My 29 year old daughter has had ALL the testing....and everything has come back normal. BUT she has excessive BURPING...
She is on nexium and it's somewhat better..but she has pain above her heart...and burps ALL the time...
She's cut out soda.... doesn't eat after 7pm... NO spicy foods..
small meals through out the day..
She's down to 115 pounds...and feels terrible. The doctors must think it's "all in her head"..but something is NOT right...
Any Ideas?

Re: Excessive Burping..
My daughter switched jobs...and the stress level is much better...
SHe's still on the nexium...and seems to be feeling better..
they did the scope down her throat...looking for signs of chrohn's disease..and everything came back normal..
Stress seems to be a HUGE factor here...
and the nexium does seem to be working better than the protonic did..
To the 26 year old that posted...
Are you dealing with a lot of stress in your life or job?

Re: Excessive Burping..
I do have alot of stress on my job, more recently stress has been related to all this testing. I have no appetite, weight loss, stomach is always nausea, shortness of breath and I burp all the time. My stool even appears to be different and I am having some urinary tract issues as well. Alot of people have been asking me about my stress level, I don't know if it can cause all this?

To the 26 year old posting..
Do you have any problems with your wisdom teeth?
My daughter has/had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed this weekend.
We've been wondering if maybe these teeth may have played a part with all the digestive problems she's been experiencing?

Re: Excessive Burping..
I am also 26 years old having exactly the same problems. I went to see the doctors many times and they said everything is normal. I even had CT scan and the results were OK.. I tried all types of medicines for "migraine" but it just keeps coming back... I have right-sided migraines with tension in the neck and shoulder, extending to the forehead with a bursting feeling in the eye. Jarring, light, and noise aggravate discomfort. My headaches improve after vomiting, as well as from burping. Usually, I burp whenever I feel pain from any part of my body (usually upper back, neck, upper arm and the head..) Whenever I try to massage the affected body part, I BURP out loud.. My officemates even call me "BURPAHOLIC"! i tried having antacids too but it just didn't work! Almost every week I don't go to work for a day coz I just can't get up from bed due to severe headache... I really don't know what to do with this..

Re: Excessive Burping..
You may have overgrowth of candida. Especially if you have had antibiotics without taking probiotics afterwards, even more so if you have had a few courses of antibiotics and have had a more sugary diet - like more carb and sugar. I had same belching and fullness, felt so weak at times and other times like I had flu... Doctors said fine, I said ahh, no! I finally saw a good health guru/nutritionist and went on an anti-candida diet. A lot of doctors refuse to accept that candida can be a problem in the intestines - though they are beginning to warm to the idea. After 1st weeks on anti-candida diet (no sugar, yeasts etc) and with a few supplements to support good bacteria growth (probiotics) I felt slightly worse. That's because the candida/yeast was dying off. The 2nd week I felt better. Then after a month I felt normal!!! This from a mom who when the kids just touched my back or arm, I would burp. They thought it hysterical but knew it made me so tired and nauseous. You can take anti-fungals for candida too, but sometimes that causes the yeast (candida) to die off so quickly you feel even more unwell. Attack it in stages with help from a good nutritionist/homeopath/naturopath or even health food store specialist.
