Re: Itchy, Tiny Bumps All Over
I too have the severe itching that most of you describe.
My itching started on the skin near the inner elbows, and also on the shins. There was no rash, just very bad itching. Eventually this itching spread and now I have it on my legs (especially the backs of my legs knees and underneath my ****), stomach, breasts and arms. When it is at its worst, I get the goosebump-like rash. I have had this itching for two and a half years, have seen my doctor and a dermatologist, tried creams, body washes and pills. Nothing works. They told me to not have hot showers. Well that didn't work either. It has been suggested that liver damage can cause this type of itching, but I have had blood tests and liver function tests, and everything is normal.
Also, I was never a heavy drinker, but now I cannot have even one drink because it makes me so unbearably itchy.
I have scabs on my legs and stomach, and i barely sleep at night. My boyfriend can't even touch me much because it just sets me off for hours. I really just want to stop itching, it is ruining my life

Re: Itchy, Tiny Bumps All Over
Hi I was looking at the picture of the wrist and I have the EXACT same thing on my arm and the itch is going from my neck up to my head and ears and face. I was wondering if you know what caused it and what cured it? the itch is unbearable I've been to the doctors and was given cortizone and to use calamine lotion but nothing has help. They dont know what it is and says it will go away eventually but I'm starting to wonder when!!!!

Re: Itchy, Tiny goosebumps all over arms

Has anyone found out what it is yet! the itching is on my arms but now is also from my neck to my head, my ears and face. My family have yet to catch it so I assuming not contagious? I went to the doctor they gave me cortizone and said to use calamine and all that skin lotion, but so far nothin has helped, and they dont know what it is. the itch is random and also when I am sleeping I wake up scratching like crazy, but my face is not "goosebumpy" like my arms. it's been three weeks, please please please help me it is november 2009!

Re: Itchy, Tiny Bumps All Over
You probably already heard this but those pictures look like poison oak. I had poison oak last year and was surprised how long it stayed on me. Very itchy, bumpy, redish looking rash. I was throwing anything I could on it. Spray cortizone used for sun burns, calamin lotion, hydrocotizone cream and they all seemed to soften the itching but was only temporary. The oil from poison oak once on the skin takes awhile to breakdown or be removed.
Don't know too much about it but it looked just like poison oak and the more you itch it the more bumpier it gets.

Re: Itchy, Tiny Bumps All Over
Please help! I have this same rash. It started a little over 3 weeks ago and I don't know what to do. It started on my legs and that is where it is the worst. It has also spread to the underside of my arms, my stomach and chest. But it seems to itch the most on my limbs. I have tried really hard not to scratch but I wake myself up scratching in my sleep. After I have scratched alot the bumps sometimes bleed or look like the bumps have dry skin on them. It seems to itch worse at night. My husband thinks its because its the only time of day I am not busy working of taking care of our 3 kids, who by the way none of them have the rash. I dont know what to do. I don't have health insurance, and I can't afford to keep visiting the Dr. Has anyone found any creams that work or an actual name for the rash so I can be prepared on my next visit? Cause the Dr has treated me for scabies and thats not it which I already knew because no one else in my family was itching. And I'm not usuing any new soaps or detergents.
OHH! The rash started on my lower legs when I had cold symptoms that were the begining of H1N1. I just didnt know it yet. I thought it was the sinus and allergy meds but I only took them twice and the rash was still there. Did anyone else have this rash who has recently had H1N1?
PLEASE respond with anything you think might help. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your time,
Amanda

Re: Itchy, Tiny Bumps All Over
******, some of you have had this for years?
I'm not sure if this will help, but I did have (am having) issues with a rash that is more or less along the lines of itchy goosebumps.
I'm quite scared because a year ago, I had an outbreak of the same sort that lasted...oh, heck, I don't know, at least a month. It was completely miserable; the entire undersides of my front arms and the backs of my legs itched so badly that I would wake up at night to scratch behind my legs. I have scars on the sides of my legs from scratching at them.
Cortizone cream didn't really help except very temporarily; steroids helped, too, a little bit (not much, I kept going back to the same campus doctor...), but they didn't work as well as simply forcing yourself not to scratch, and making sure to keep the rash dry and aerated. The rash spread quickly for me between my legs, behind my knees, and the underside of my forearms because it was hot and humid and those parts got pretty sweaty; my desk table had to have paper between my skin and my desk to keep it from being sticky and hot there.
I don't think it shall ever be safe for me to go near the Equator.

Re: Itchy, Tiny Bumps All Over
ME TOO.
mine only started two days ago. I was lying in bed relaxing and my face started feeling hot and itchy, when i looked in the mirror it was swollen.
2 hours later it was steadily getting worse and i thought i was having an allergic reaction so i took some benydryl. it got mostly better that night, but then when i woke up my face was dry and scaly, and i had red goosebumps all over my torso and arms. it itches everywhere.
I CANNOT stand this, and I'm TERRIFIED that it will not get better. I don't know what to do and I need help.

Re: Itchy, Tiny Bumps All Over
I just got over a cold and I was taking Advil Cold and Sinus...the Walgreens brand. Ive never took the generic brand before. Three Days ago I came down with these tiny itchy pumps on my legs arms and tummy. They itch so bad I can barely stand it. I never had H1N1 but this cold brought on a sinus infection and they put me on Amoxil/Clav. I wonder if that could have anything to do with it. I just finished my 8th day of a 10 DAY COURSE when I got these incredibly annoying bumps. I also thought it could be me switching laundry soap. Im still trying to figure out what this could be. Ive never had this happen before!! Did anything help you yet?
Thanks for your response in advance.

Re: Itchy, Tiny Bumps All Over
i have got similiar effects on my face atm, and am currently struggling with it. it calms down one minute, but the slightest thing triggers it off. i've only recently got this, one month or two ago, and my doctor said it could have triggered from a photoshoot i had done. the hot lights with the makeup and hairspray, caused it to melt into my face.. (very nasty thought, i know). since then, i have long struggled to maintain my skin's apperance. i use natural products, and only makeup i have used before with no side-effects and know i can use. the majority of the rash, is around my mouth and cheeks, which is extremely painful, and someday, i find it hard to do the simplest things, like brush my teeth, or eat a meal. the first time i visited the docs, he prescribed me with hydrocortisone cream, at 2%, which cleared part of the rash, but left my skin underneath burnt. it was a vicious circle, which has not yet cleared. now, i am currently using the same cream, but only with a 0.5% so it's alot milder.. and it has cleared up considerably around my mouth area, but the bits on my cheeks, i doubt will ever shift completely. it is a curse, to have such a thing like this.. and the worse thing is, the doctors don't seem to know what has caused this.. but i know i'm definetly allergic to something out there. xxx

Re: Itchy, Tiny Bumps All Over Fran in Floida
From fran in florida,,, please someone help... I have the same thing...
I can not believe this... I live in florida and have exactly the same thing..
Thi is making me crazy... It looks just like the picture... Goose bumps all over that itch and will not go away... I have been to two dermatologists and one gave me a cream for psorais, and lux foam, which is very expensive.. The second doctor is doing biopsies... She gave me cortazone and it does not help..
I tried some tea tree oil and i saw lots of bubbles where the bumps were, my skin got better over night, but still have lots more and the itchyness is killing me.. I am a breast cancer suvivor and worried somehow there is a cancer back internally, but so many of you have exactly the same thing.. I think it is scabies, and i am going to get the treatment and try.. Years ago my dad had it, and that was what it was... Meanwhile, i also think it might be coffee or chocolate, or nerves.. Because benedril does help.. Please any doctor out there or person that has found out what this is please please write.. I was also in nyc 6 months ago, and my apartment had been invaded by mice... I wonder if i caught something from them, although i spent 4 thousand dollars to clean the apartment and lost all my stuff... My building is infested with mice, and the come up in the radiator..
