Hep C, Lupus, pnuemonia..
I'm a 28 year old woman and just got the results from my doctor that i have hepatitis c, mycoplasma pnuemonia and indicators of lupus. i've been aware of the Hep C for 2 years but the lupus and pnuemonia came as a surpise. I'm uncertain of what this means as the Doctor who broke the news spent 40 minutes in her office with me looking for information online, and i cant get into the specialist until the end of february. Will i be able to have children? Is ther anything i should be doing for myself in the mean time? Please help....i'm terrified my brother had glomuler nephritis type 1 and lupus he passed away when i was 19. He was only 26, and thriough complications of his disease lost his life through a stroke. He was only 26.

Re: Hep C, Lupus, pnuemonia..
I have Hep B, and my Lupus and Rheumatoid factor are elevated as well. This hapens with hepatitis. Mycoplasma can be treated with antibiotics. Azithromicin for example, if it is chronic then is somewhat hard to treat, most people being exposed to it, so I am being told by the doctors I seen. You need to find out your Igm and Igg levels for mycoplasma. If you have Igg only tipically it is suggestive of a past infection and most docs want treat you. You need to treat your Hep C.
