    Default Strep G infection?

So i just got diagnosed with a strep G infection around my anus it has probably been there for some time over a month and getting worse and worse it seemed to come after i had 2 lots of antibiotics for firstly a sore throat and a mouth ulcer and then two weeks later toncilitis, slowly i got an itchy bottom and it just got heaps worse irritation gave me sore red skin and lots of little fissures on the top layer of skin. i have also for the past week or so while waiting for the test results to come back got a mild (very bearable) sore throat again i have now been put on a new type of antibiotics to fix it and i was wondering if there is anything i can put on my *** to stop the itching as its driving me crazy? Also is this a bad bug that could change to make me really ill i think i have probably had it since the first bout of sore throat over 1 and a half months ago and never really got better as i have been really run down and lethargic with dioreaaha (spelling?) constipation and a mild pain in my chest that comes and goes! I cant find much info about group g strep infections online and wanted to know some more about what i have and how long i might expect to be unwell for considering i have now started antibiotics! Thanks in advance!

This seems to be linked to cattle or raw milk. You must follow your doctor's advice closely and see him often.

The doctor told me over the phone that it was strep g infection and left the script for the antibiotics at the front desk to collect no other instructions just to take 1 tablet 3 times per day? I dont have raw milk but i have a horse that is sometime in a paddock with cattle? Is this a bad bug... now i'm worried?

Although Group A strep normally live in people’s throats and can spread in the community from person to person, we know that group C and G streptococci most commonly live on animals such as horses and cattle and can spread to humans through raw milk or contact with animals. However, both types are known to live in people’s throats and spread like the group A strep.

Food and milk-borne epidemics of group C or G sore throat used to be commoner, but with pasteurisation, this is rare nowadays. In fact, most people with group C or G strep disease have no history of contact with animals or raw dairy products.Group C and G streps also can live on the skin, particularly where the skin is damaged by conditions such as eczema, as well as on any other mucous surface of the body, such as the vagina and bowel. They cannot survive for very long away from these types of environment.

    What infections can they cause?
Surface infections- not serious in themselves
    Sore throat (pharyngitis)
    Impetigo

    Complications of surface infections
Unlike group A strep infections, Group C and G strep surface infections do not lead to complications like rheumatic fever. Rarely, post-strep glomerulonephritis (kidney inflammation) can occur after group C infection

    Deeper infections
Skin and soft tissue infection (Cellulitis; rarely necrotising fasciitis)
Rarer infections e.g. endocarditis (heart valve infection), neonatal infection, puerperal infection (childbirth-related)
Bacteremia (bacteria in the blood/blood poisoning)
    Arthritis (joint infection)
    Pneumonia

    Complications of deeper infections
Toxic Shock-rarely reported. More common with group A strep disease
    Septic Shock

Hi i am still looking for some further advice about my condition and possible future issues as i took the antibiotics and the repeat and it made no difference so i went back to the doctor and she has now put me on a different type of antibiotics but they dont really seem to be helping much either?? I have one more day left on the first script then i have to go back to my doctor so she can send me to a specialist for more tests?? I am getting really worried about all of this i just cant seem to shake this bug and every time i go on antibiotics i feel like i am getting a cold or another sore throat?? I have been really tired not all of the time just sometimes and when it hits i am so tired i cant be bothered doing anything i really have to fight to get up and do things and i just feel really **** in general?? My bottom is really dry and has lots of little cracks and lumps(heamorhoids, im guessing) the skin has lost some pigment and sometimes peels away! I have also been having really weird dry skin that has been peeling off my hands and they shrivel up lately in water after just a few minutes?? Could this all be just caused by this bug and if so why isnt the antibiotics working and making me better? Or is there someting else going wrong with me? What will the specialis do to me and how will they make me better if theese antibiotics dont work? Could this bug make me really sick and die?? I am really worried?? Please help me!

I would suggest doing some research about your symptoms on the internet. You might be able to understand more about what's going on than the doctor knows. That's how I discovered my own diagnosis way before any doctor knew what was wrong with me.

Then print off the info and share it with your doctor.

Don't give up. You need to be your own advocate.

You could be having a reaction to the antibiotics too. Make sure you take daily acidophilus supplements, because antibiotics can knock out the good flora in your intestines and make you quite ill too. I take three Culturelle per day every time I take any antibiotic.

Ask your doctor to check for the mrsa virus, too. The strep G is indeed, nasty enough. You need to stay on top of it with constant doctor intervention.

These days most people react negatively to antibiotics.
Please, look into Oil of Oregano caplets or softgels. Oil of Oregano in caplets is different - it is not what we put in our food to season it. It contains carvacrol, an active ingredient with a really wide spectrum of antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties.
I had a really bad case of strep and it went away thanks to Oil of Oregano.
I only took six caplets a day (2 before every meal)for one week.
    But you might need less.
Don't take my word for it. There are countless message boards dedicated to Oil of Oregano, also known as OoO.

    Best,
    Fruity.

Yes, OoO is great stuff. It is a great antifungal.

Repeated antibiotics often leads to candida overload. Anal itching is a classic sign of this. Please get the best PROBIOTIC you can find with at least 6 different strains of beneficial bacteria. This will help counter the bad effects of the antibiotics. If you can, try inserting a probiotic capsule into your rectum as this can offer relief.

All of your symptoms, skin itchiness, bowel problems, low energy, etc are pointing to candida IMO. Most docs don't address this problem. Please google it or visit www.candidasupport.org or www.wholeapproach.com. Threelac is great for treating this - I have taken this product and often recommend it to my patients. But I have no affiliation to these websites - just found them useful when I was suffering from candida symptoms.

    Best wishes

    Another update! Guest

Default Another update sorry it so long!

Well another update! It's been going on now for over 4 months!
Where do i now start i have been reading up on my current symptoms and i am giving myself panic attacks thinking i have 100's of terminal diseases and cancers... i have been so miserable of late and i dont know what is wrong with me! I have been using an anti fungal cream on my bottom and occasionally a hydracortisone (??spelling) cream too as a doctor also said i could have thrush from the anti biotics! no real improvement maybee a little better but still not gone several weeks later... i have been getting fluttery, random out of the blue short palpitations and i have been getting so **** tired it's not funny all my body is sore and aching most of the time but is usually worse as the day goes on! still strange toilet habbits that alternate between hard and soft and cramps also and a fair amount of nausea but no vomiting i have an old whiplash injury to my neck that has been flaired up for days and really is wearing me out as well as giving me pinns and needles in the hands and feet i also have been feeling very spaced out and the best way to describe it is like i want to go into a stare! And i feel a bit dizzy sometimes also! I have been taking vitamins and inner health (good intestinal flora) tablets and i am trying to source some oil of oregano in my area. I have booked into the gastro specialist but its not for a couple of months and i am getting very distressed in the meantime any advice would be appreciated as i am just spiraling downwood fast and two doctors have now said they have no idea and i have to go to specalist! Why cant i get better!
