headache, stiffneck, dizziness. Whats wrong with me?

Well after about a month or 2 of feeling like this i am alittle sick and tired of it. Though it has gotten alittle better i still dont feel like a normal 18 year should feel. I feel slightly dizziness (gets worse when nervious) with some headaches with a kind of pain behide my eyes, stiffness in neck like the very muscle right under the back of the head, Some times ear ringing but hasnt happened recently, Also my right right side tonsil i guess(its right under my chin is swollen. I has blood test done a few weeks ago that was fine and a ct scan of head and neck and few months ago for differnt problem that came out clear though. Also the dizziness or feeling of fog i should say is worse right after awaking. If anyone knows what could be up i would greatly appreciate it.

sounds like you need to have some blood work done. maybe mono? too young to be in so much discomfort.... good luck!

I had similiar symptoms, and I have special glasses with prism in them. It turned out that my problem was that my eyes were slightly out of alignment - that's why I had headaches and why I had pain behind my eyes.

maybe you get stress,not enough sleep,exams,computers....etc
take more rest see if it helps,get some fresh air.

ME TOO. EVERYTHING. I'm unfortunately into the 6th month, though... I've had all kinds of blood work ups done to check thyroid, potassium, magnesium, iron, blood count, etc etc, urine tests for I don't even know what, MRI for tumors, cat scans for the same reason, x rays of my back/neck to see if my spine is pinching a nerve, psychological eval to check for depression/anxiety, endocrinology checked, neurologist for migraines/tension headaches, eye doc, ENT for vertigo/inner ear balance problem, gyno for hormone imbalance (tried oral contraceptives to see if they'd balance a hormone prob out, did nothing). That might be it...I can't even remember now. Mine started with a severe panic attack in early June...like 2 days before my high school graduation. Amazing trying to sit through that feeling like I was going to faint. Anyway, at first I was just dizzy, then I got headaches, but they didn't coincide with anything else. Now it's like my symptoms have synchronized and my dizziness and headaches come together. Usually I have squeezing pain in my temples and across my forehead or that aching pressure behind my eyes. I used to get a ringing or twinge of pain or even a sudden clogged feeling in my ears, but that went away. Basically nobody knows what's wrong with me. Still. Motrin seems to help the headaches, and as they go away the dizziness gets better. But yeah, it's not a spinning sensation at all...I heard someone else describe it like wearing another person's glasses. That's pretty accurate, I think...or at least the best way I've seen to explain it. Just an off-balance feeling... My symptoms do get a lot worse when I'm stressed, and if they get bad enough they make me feel like I'm in the pre-panic attack stages. I haven't had an attack since July, though, and the dizziness and headaches are still here. Every day, basically all day. I sympathize...I'm about done with it. By the way, I'm almost 19, female, petite, white.

I am in a very similar state. I don't have the headaches, but not everyone gets headaches. Your descriptions of the "off-balance" symptom are very close to what I feel, along with the weird feelings in the ears, stiff neck and sometimes vertigo after an attack. I don't feel like that constantly, but during periods after an episode. My symptoms get worse with any exercise, lifting, stress, sitting in the wrong position. Mine seems to exacerbated mainly be physical events rather than mental events. I've been through a litany of tests and this has been going on now for 25 years. I was not feeling too terrible for a couple of decades and then it flared up very badly just recently for unexplained reasons.

unregistered eureka.. ur symptoms seem exactly lik how ive been feeling for abt 2 months. the fact tht ur graduationg mightve given u anxiety or sumthin which mightve cause all these feelings. i dunno for me ever since i moved to dt toronto for my co-op job i've been feeling like that maybe anxiety too??.. where do u live btw? .. i dunno wats wrong ive had so many tests done even an MRI! n they found nuthing.. i'm only 21 and have no history or family history of any illnesses n i used to work out lik everyday before all this now i'm nervous abt hitting the gym.. right now ive been taking ativan and citalopram for anxiety and it seems to be helping me but who knows it might just be lik a long relapse or w/e cuz there has been days wer i felt lik nuthing was wrong with me. at times i believe tht this off balance feeling is just a result of severe fatigue lik so severe. i also noticed watching too much TV increases my symptoms i dunno but i think the radiation from the TV might be causing all this or it might be just a coincidence tht wen i dun watch tv for a couple of days i feel better ? my co-op job is near tht CN tower in DT cud I be lik sensitive to some radiation?? i really dunno. i'm sik of this seriously ..if anyone has an answer or wanna talk abt their symptoms plzzzz email me or add m on msn kakishr@hotmail.com

I am a 13 year old girl and I have those same symtoms but i have more than just that i also have pains in my back, knees, and ribs. I also have a problem with throwing up and passing out. I have no idea what is wrong with me and i have been to a doctor and they dont know whats wrong. they gave me a pill they thought would help but it just made things worse so i stopped taking it. I don't know what to do and i can't afford to have a lot of tests run for it so for now i just have to deal with it.

I know this is 2 1/2 years later but i would look at TMJ-- tempomandibular joint disorder-- a qualified dentist could help in this area.. google tmj dentists in your area
