constant urge to urinate/urgency-22y/o male

Hey everybody,
For about a week now I have had the constant feeling of needing to urinate. After urination the feeling returns within 5-30 minutes. The urine is normal color, although the stream seems weaker but this could be because I never allow time for my bladder to fill. Sometimes afer about a half hour, I go and urinate and a good amount comes out, like a normal urination, other times; afew drops. I guess I've always urinated alot for a guy but I am always working out and take in a huge amount of fluids throughout the day. I first noticed these symptoms about 5 days ago in the middle of the night after masturbation. Sometimes I have experienced, and have heard of other men experiencing the urge to urinate after masturbation but this feeling usually passes after about 15-20 minutes. It almost feels like there are just afew drops of urine in the middle of the shaft of my ***** that need to be cleared, but once they are, the feeling quickly returns. Although this has only been happening for less than a week, my quality of life has suffered, mainly because it is very difficult for me to sleep with this. I'm definately not OCD, but I am a worrier and I have read that things like this could be mental. If it is mental, why the sudden onset? I have yet to make a doctors appointment, but will do that tommarow as my parents are coming into town. Anyone else experiencing this? I am hesitent to attribute this to a bladder infection, but I have been noticing slight slight slight aches or pains in my abdomen area, but that could be just because of my 20 or so trips to the bathroom each day, or because I am constantly dwelling on every slight sensation I have down there. Also, I have noticed increased muscle soreness(back/legs) but this could be because of lack of sleep. Any thoughts or input would be greatly appriciated, as I am at a loss. During the day, this condition is annoying, but managable, at night is when it really bothers me. Again, thanks for the time, and any reccomendations/simular stories, thoughts would help me out alot. I have tried cranberry juice with little to no imporvement.

Got the same problem, i have had it for months. Been for blood tests, had antibiotics, about to see a specialist. Taking time..(NHS)

Anyone have any idea what i could be? It really getting in the way of my life, i have been lucky as i have got it in the period between leaving collage and starting work, the latter i am waiting to do...

I'm a male, age 43. I've had the same problem since I was approximately 20yrs. old. Mostly I feel it after having a few beers then having sex. I've told my doctor a few times but never really pursued it so I don't know exactly what the problem is but I will pursue it a little more adamantly on my next visit.

I too would like to find an answer.

Hello! I have had the exact same problem.. I am 26 year old male. It happened to me once last year (for around a week) Did all the tests... Dr said it was stress.... and now it happened again.. and it's exam time. Donno if it's stress related.. but seems like it... could be cystitis which is quite often misdiagnosed. This is an infection in the bladder and can easily be eliminated with antibiotics.

I am a 25 year old male and have had these symptoms for over a year. I've seen two urologists, two chiropractors, an endochronologist, and a nephrologist. I've been test for numerous things (including interstitial cystitis) and no one has found anything wrong with me. CAT scans, 24-hr urine samples, the whole nine yards. I am currently taking Lexapro in case it is stress-related. It hasn't helped much.

ANY insight on this is greatly appreciated.

Tonight I have had a similar problem. I went out with a friend for a few beers, came home, and masturbated a while later. However it seems like 20 minutes after masturbation, I had the sensation to urinate, and while I did go a good amount, it burned like ****....now I cant shake the feeling of the need to urinate....any ideas? what can I do....I just want to go to sleep but it is very uncomfortable to get into bed thinking that I might have to go as well as the constant burning sensation. I am a 23 year old healthy male. I'm a non-smoker (with the occasional cigarette) and a social drinker.
