Re: Tingling/numbness in arms/hands/legs/face/head [more symptoms]
Guys!! I am so glad I found this thread! I am almost at tears and goosebumps! I am feeling all your symptoms 'Q&A' all the way down to the floaters in my eyes (ive had them since a child but have become more noticeable as these symptoms were occurring) to the wandering and concentration of my mind when trying to sleep! Not to mention THE BIG first symptoms of my arms and hands up to the elbow (down to the purple color of the palms q&a!) The pins and needles as well (although this has only happend during my 2 "central nervous system" 'attacks' for lack of medical knowledge)
I too went to a basic family doc and as soon as I mentioned my light marijuana and adderall usage, he immediately "put his wall up" and tried to write me off with anxiety. Now look, I know I have nervousness when going to class and meeting new people but what I have been experiencing is not psychological. I know its chemical, and in a sense it is coming from the brain clearly, the central nervous system.
Let me explain myself so you guys can paint a picture of me a little bit. I am a 20 year old male with a military father and am BIG on exercise and nutrition. I am fit and my body and muscles are as strong as can be for my age. But when my nerves started acting up (4/25/08) it was something else for me! To be able to lose feeling (dysthensia) in arms and hands (the main culprits) and after 2 'central nervous system attacks' followed by a 'joint' of marijuana combined with fatigue (no sleep). Im 20 years old I should be able to go a day or two without sleep!
Now like I said I am not a doper so do not get the wrong idea like my doctor, please gentlemen. I do take adderall (no prescription) which I acquire from my friend maybe twice a week for school and class. Helps with my so called "anxiety" and nervousness. And to come down off of the amphetamine I smoke 1 or 2 small tiny joints. Nothing of that compared to my friends, whom of which are not as physically strong as me who abuse these same drugs constantly for years and have not had my symptoms ever.
I've come to the conclusion that these are not the cause but rather 'triggers'. And so of course I've discontinued all usage and have not had an attack since. But I do maintain the symptoms only on a very subtle level throughout the day and especially at night during fatigue. During the day is this BNF 'the muscle twitches' throughout the body and don't hurt but are noticeable and are apparently linked to muscle degeneration. So I have started my stretching and exercise routine up again as I usually do each summer when I have time.
Anyways I don't want to write a whole document here but would like to go into detail of my attacks (aphasia + paresthesia oral) 1st attack: mouth went numb, slurred speech, muscle convulsion, heat sensations. and 2nd attack: goosebump flares down left arm only followed by (dysthensia and pins and needles when handling cold objects, clear sign of nerve end damage) and I urge you 'Q&A' and 'samkmw' to email me as I do believe we have something in common. I know certainly, something is the cause of this whether it be vitamin deficiency or a disease (but surely not anxiety disorders) and I urge anyone to email me that have similar symptoms so that we can get to the bottom of this. I am going to take my blood tests and MRI's this month to make certain it is not MS or any other form of disease.
On a positive note I just took my first B-12 vitamin (because of you guys and this thread), and sure enough 20 minutes later body does seem to be functioning better with circulation.
I am going to get some rest now, and please email me if you have like symptoms or reply on this thread. I will check frequently and wont let you guys down. You can count on me to get to the bottom of this.

Re: Tingling/numbness in arms/hands/legs/face/head [more symptoms]
Ok I just rested and had a full meal. Some how these symptoms are linked to the lower left abdomen pain we are having, I had it in my lower left back just like you QandA for a day or two (walked with limp) but has since disappeared.
Well I took the B12 vitamin promoting circulation, and took a nap for about 5 hours. Woke up and had a full meal, and for the second time in weeks my left hip abdomen area just started having sharp pains. and while trying to grip the mouse and put a cup up to my mouth to drink started feeling the numbness almost motor neuron function damage. not an intense attack but subtle symptoms. clearly if I were to stimulate my body with any type of marijuana joint this would most certainty end in another nervous attack.
What the **** is going on here? Mind is clear and calm body is acting up. Also QandA another of the symptoms I would bet you are having but forgot to mention is hearing? Im willing to bet you have some slight ringing in your ears when trying to lay in bed, yes?
Possibly liver damage? Excretion of ammonia into the bloodstream, would that cause the central nervous system to be acting up? See this is not a psychological 'anxiety' problem. Its chemical for sure.

Re: Tingling/numbness in arms/hands/legs/face/head [more symptoms]
alright well after eating some more its surely not abdomen problems internally. It's definitely coming from the brain (central nervous) and spread out through the nerve endings (hands, arms, legs)
I have started to take Centrum one a day multivitamins just to make sure I get my immune system fully boosted and exercise + stretch daily. It is helping.
My symptoms only come at night after a fatigue (grabbing a glass, trying to put it up to my mouth) Its just an awkward nerve feeling. Skeletal, muscular, nerve degeneration of some sort.
Or it can be brought on by marijuana intake, even of the slightest degree. Now I've been smoking since a teen and to finally have to put it down for sake of nerve damage is a step in the right direction. But i must say I am stumped as to how in the world can the most harmless plant drug (besides smoke tar buildup, etc) cause my nerves to react in such a way after years of good times and considering the health my body is compared to smokers of more long term usage than me and not as healthy as me.
I must say I am now jealous of them but surely it must be chemical reactions in the marijuana already stimulating an ever slow developing disease that we all must have or a chemical imbalance of some sort.
So the vitamins and no more smoke I have been good with no "attacks" even if I stay up late at night. But the moment I take one toke of a joint. Just 1. As soon as I stand up I get frequent headrushes and to the point where it gets fuzzy and ringing in my ears progress blacking out slowly.
And you guys hear this and laugh and say 1 tiny puff and your gonna pass out and faint. Well I dont know what to say I was a champion smoker in my day and could keep up with the best of them. Now due to some chemical imbalance or circulation disorder I can not even 1 puff.
samkmw, we must talk. We are going through the same exact symptoms and reaction to a marijuana joint.

Re: Tingling/numbness in arms/hands/legs/face/head [more symptoms]
Hmmm. I was having suspicion of the marijuana being tampered although I have been getting the same stuff from the same guy for over 4 years now and it wasn't until 08 the symptoms took form AFTER I took Isotretinoin (accutane) for my acne and a possible spider bite so my suspicion of LYME disease is still there. To any average person like my doctor that has never been around marijuana in his life will assume it was laced with something although he thinks its the chemical reaction with my "anxiety disorder". But for me to really get to know this particular type of mid grade marijuana and to use it habitually and other types it really isn't suspicious other than the normal strong odor and 1 to 2 hour low grade high. Although I have noticed runny noses just from the odor not being lit and also sometimes when brought into contact with my skin I will get temporary irritation rash. So my suspicion is definitely there.
What is your knowledge of LYE and how it is used to increase potency of mid grade marijuana. I have heard of people sraying Raid (roach killer). I am looking up the info and specs on this hydroxide substance LYE and not sure how it can make you feel the same as a marijuana high.
We would have to see if QandA was involved with marijuana as well. not just myself and 'samkmw'.
I have of course discontinued any smoking and of course I am not getting any more weird nerve attacks although I am still feeling symptoms from time to time. My left hands still clamps up and turns purple when there is to much blood flow, i have to hold it above my head, I can even see the tiny hairline veins in my fingertips and is not a pleasant feeling. Other than that my vision is poor. My childhood floaters are now more visible and I have been seeing flashes of lights and phantom images from the corners which I have read online to be a serious problem. Also the slight ringing in my ears are still there day to day. Although during the day it is filtered out.
Please, KissandDontell give me more information on LYE.
So far my suspicions or self-diagnoses could be one of the following: Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme disease, Tuberculosis (positive test during childhood, never followed through with chest X ray), Heart/Circulation disorder, and of course my "esteemed" family doctor "anxiety disorder". Trust me this **** is not in my mind. It is chemical.

Ok, I have been doing research on Lye and clearly this hydroxide substance is not what you are referring to. You are using the slang for weed calling it 'Lye' and saying that they sprayed it. Well do you have any suggestions what they sprayed on it? I go straight into the heart of the ghetto to get my stuff for the unbeatable prices and have been going for years to the same guy. I have heard rumors of Raid being sprayed but come on I would definitely smell that. This stuff smells straight like bud...???

Re: Tingling/numbness in arms/hands/legs/face/head [more symptoms]
i have the exact same symptoms it could also be vitamin c deficiency
because the difference with vitamin b is that... If the body notices that not enough calcium is circulating in the blood, it will use hormones to reduce the amount put out by the kidneys in the urine. If not enough calcium is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, calcium will be taken from the bones.
unfortunately doctors did not know what i had they thought at a stage i had some bloody std lol cause of the scurvy on my face . i had no circulation through my hands feet(they were so cold) dry and cracking muscles so sore , i could not even drive . pins in needles through my head epically on the back on my face neck then through out my body had urinating ,very concentrated ,trouble concentrating... so weak
and now at the age of 23 i have osteo
