Constant mild increase in temperature - annoying!! Please help.
Hi,
If anyone can offer any help on this i'd be very grateful.
About three weeks ago, i had an infection which caused my cheek area on both sides to swell up.
This went away after a couple of days on it's own (no antibiotics)- but since then (could be a coincidence?) i've had a mild temperature which comes and goes. Sometimes i'm fairly hot for hours (not feverish hot, just hotter than usual) then i'll be normal for a bit before it returns again.
I don't really have any other symptoms and don't have a history of anything like this.
Could it be stress/anxiety, or is it related to the infection? Who knows? Hopefully, you do.
Thanks in advance.
Flyn

Thanks Curly.
But i don't think it's mumps.
It wasn't those bits that swelled up!

If you think it was an infection and didn't take an antibiotic...the infection could still be there.
How high does your temperature go?
What is it when you are not hot?
I suggest seeing a doc...an untreated infection is dangerous, as it can enter the bloodstream and travel to all areas of the body(septicemia)
I would suggest not taking anything to "mask" the fever (Tylenol ect...) for a day and take your temp when you feel this way
see a doc
Good Luck...mommy cat

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
My temp doesn't go to feverous temperatures, i'm just hotter than normal.
When am i cool? Seems pretty random to be honest. Usually first thing in the morning seems a common time though.
I'm not taking anything at all to combat my temperature - because as i say it's not that high.
I don't feel ill in any other way, although i may have a cold coming on.
Could this be related?
