Re: Small White Itchy Bumps on the Palms/Fingers
I am really happy that I found this thread. I find myself covering my hands and hiding them from people that I meet. this is a very annoying condition. I do appreciated everyone's input into this problem. I have an appointment with the Derm I am gathering all that I have learned hear on this thread and taking it with me. There needs to be some type of research done on this diagnosis whatever it may be. I work with my hands and do a lot of public speaking and this is such annoying condition that I find myself avoiding people and certain situations. It's weird but I feel like having this condition has actually made my stress and anxiety rise. I am conscious about this every waking moment of my life. I've had this condition for upwards of 2 years and I haven't found that this is getting any better with all the medications and ointments that I've tried.
I went to the dermatologist because I had athletes foot.... at least i thought I did. I now know that what I had on my feet has now cleared up and transferred itself to my hands after it cleared up.
So I share my frustration with everyone on this forum and hope that we all find a solution to this condition.

One should NEVER use essential oils during pregnancy unless one knows they are safe in pregnancy. Oils put on the skin are absorbed into the body. Clove oil is a VERY STRONG oil
Clove oil ISNT safe in pregnancy due to it can cause miscarriage!!! Anyone used to working with pure oils, will not use this oil on a pregnant women, it is one we are taught to strongly avoid in this situation.
http://www.essentialoils.co.za/essential-oils/clove.htmPrecautions
Clove oil is a very potent oil and should be used with care. If it is used in a oil, lotion or cream applied to the skin, the concentration should be well below 1%.
It may cause irritation to the skin of some individuals and can easily irritate the mucus membranes. It should be avoided during pregnancy.

Re: Small White Itchy Bumps on the Palms/Fingers
I am glad I am not alone...the itchness drives me freaking crazy!!! This morning I have it not only in one spot, but 3...I am trying to find a way to scratch all 3 spots lol...but YES...it is caused by stress. My mother had it and thought it was excema(spelling?), she used to scratch so much and hard, it would bleed. The more I scratch, the more bumps. Find another way to deal with the stress, I find going to the gym great. Anyway, I will try the cortisone cream that someone mentioned. Good Luck!

Thats what the little bumps on my hands looked like. Mine didn't itch, but eh. I went to the doctor, she told me that its probably just Excema, if it gets worse, or goes to the parts of your body that bend (Inside of elbows, wrists ect) It could be scabes.

I get this all the time. In fact, I have it right now. I use triamcinolone acetonide cream usp 0.5%. It takes away the itching and it appears to heal it faster.
The doctor said I have an extreme case of contact dermitis and excema. On some occasions, it is so bad I have to take steroids to stop the rash or it just won't go away.

Re: Small White Itchy Bumps on the Palms/Fingers
I am just amazed by all the replies here wow! So sad you all we all have to feel this way! I had raised welts on my chest, neck and hands. Soon spread to legs and hands. So in a 2 week span I have seen pcp for orig thinking it was poison oak. Primary care doc gave me prednisone… went a week later for checkup as it was getting worse. He said to just get through it nothing they could do! Frustrated… I then went to my dermatologist… he then took a skin punch biopsy on big welt under my right chest area… gave me another round of prednisone and Triamcinolone 0.1% cream along with taking Benadryl and zyrtec. During this time my father n law passed away of a unexpected heart attack. Kinda put me to the back burner. Super stressful time Got worse so went back in to derm last Fri as symptoms were only spreading and getting worse and oh on my hands like all you are describing… biopsy came back last Friday too while I was there… contact skin dermatitis with underline urticaria. Neg to staff or fungal? I was then given Atarax pills to help with the itch. (has made a huge diff for sleeping at night) I now have the raised fluid filled bumps rash on my inner fingers, webbing on sides… and one or two little pin bumps appear every day… I am just floored on what this could be… I have been under a great deal of stress…yes… but have had lots of stress in life and never rashed out like this. I have never had any of this ever. They are just so strange…red raised strange patterns on my fingers, they itch like crazy, fluid is clear, kinda have a gold yellow color to the spots. The ones that have popped have scabbed over… but still hard lumps. Those were the little ones… I won’t dare touch the bigger ones… no way! Much to painful. I just don’t know? I went in for follow up yesterday and one of the 3 docs are now saying possible scabies? RX’d a body wash that I have yet used… I am so discussed I just don’t think that’s it! Husband nor children have any symptoms. (mind you there were 2 docs and 1 np in the room) all conversing! Was so annoying that no one could agree on what the other said. So 2nd biopsy was taken and I have a follow up next Wed. In the mean time I am irritated! I got to thinking… rash on chest area… specific to where bra is neck area? (which has gotten a little better now that I think about it… I have worn clothes that I have not worn for a while that might not have been in that detergent I switched too! Switched detergent almost 3 weeks ago? Matches time frame you know? Constantly wearing washed clothes everyday keep rubbing on the possible allergen? Even tho using cream… still being irritated by clothing/sheets! Could it be my detergent? DING! So I last night washed everything… my chest is not itchy like yesterday with the all free and clear… my cream is working because its not rubbing on the irritant? So maybe might have figured it out…the hives/rash part? But back to my hands? I don’t know if its another problem? I am maybe missing… it could be stress I guess reading here. Or all the other dx… pompholyx, pyshidrosis, eczema… I just don’t know. I just want to be back to my normal again get some magic cream!
So I am now waiting for second biopsy…. And praying the next few days the rash on body will be gone and my fingers will get some relief. Such a waste of time with the doc’s… why wont they consider my detergent? I just don t get it!

Re: Small White Itchy Bumps on the Palms/Fingers
I don't know what you have. However, I can tell you I have experienced a reaction for months. Basically, I had contact dermitis. My body reacted so badly too it, it would not go away. I had been given steriods, allergy medicines and a whole slew of other things.
What finally worked for me was a steroid shot, oral steroids, Clobex lotion (rx lotion $300), Xyzal (RX allergy med).
As for scabbies, it is contagious so your husband and child should be showing signs.
If you have any form of excema, then you may have problems with your sheets and clothes. Scratchy material has been known to make things worse. If your bra has lace on it, stop wearing it. Additionally, you can change your sheets to silk to see if that helps. Many people have good results from switch to t-shirt sheets. While it is still cotton, it is a lot softer than regular sheets and you can usually find them at places like Walkmart.
