Esophagitis

I'm not going to bother to explain what esophagitis is again. Mentioned in the dry throat thread. It's easy to find on the internet. I just want to know what I can to do heal it faster. I've learned that stopping acid reflux will keep it from getting worse. As well as no drinking or smoking. What I can't find out is how to help it. I doubt swallowing a tube neosporen will be very effective. I just really need some help here. It sucks *** to be me right now, and I'm trying not to drink on top of it, but it's not easy in any way. Anyone?

I had esophagitis a year ago which was found during an upper endoscopy, but have since been on Nexium for several months, and just had another upper endoscopy with no presence of esophagitis this time.
