Depression
Over the past couple months I have had a lot of varying pains throughout my body and have been to every doctor possible. While I do have some symptoms that are undoubtely physical (Crohn's Disease, respitory infection, etc.) lately I have felt really numb, almost like I'm not even here. I know it sounds crazy but its the truth. And while Id love to say its depression because that is treatable, at times I am back to my old self, laughing and having fun when Im not feeling sick. I still have weird head pains, and cannot even wear my contacts because I get so dizzy, even though I have worn them my whole life. My doctors and family dont know what to do with me, does anyone have any ideas? And when your depressed, can you still have periods where you feel normal and have fun? Thanks

Re: Depression
Although I did not get physical symptoms like you did/do, I was diagnosed as being depressed and not severely, but bipolar. Yes you can have periods where u are fine and the next minute be so sad u can't stand it. I would suggest going to see a mental health specialist. I was about 17 when I was diagnosed, I am now 28 and doing fine. I am on Welbutrin, let me know how u are doing.

Re: Depression
Yes, you can have periods of feeling good when you are depressed. Especially if you aren't really in touch with your feelings. With me I have always tried to pretend like things were okay, so when I am around other people I am not really myself. The depression comes out later when I am at home alone.

Re: Depression
being sick can make you depressed. totally. also, you mean you have chrone's? isn't that like the intestinal one where you get ulcers and bleed and stuff? cuz anemia or something like that could so cause depression...get tested for anemia (people get it even when they don't have chrone's so you might as well)

Re: Depression
The doctors just put me on Prednisolone for rhematoid arthritis. Im not confident at all that this is the answer for the inflammation has just started recently. Im still very dizzy and out of it, and a majority of my symptoms do not go along with the arthritis diagnosis, especially since the pain has just started recently. Do you guys know of any kind of infection or disease that can mimic arthritis and also give you dizziness, nausea, ear popping, etc .. . Thanks Harris

Re: Depression
Boy- check with drugs.com and see how dangerous are those drugs you are taking. Look for side effects.
Also, did you check naet.com ?
There are patterns of disharmony- but remember everything is connected inside of you, so if you are sick, you are sick all over- there is no diagnosis that can isolate one little part of you and ignore your emotions, actions, habits, etc.

Re: Depression
Welcome to the club- I have been sick for 4 months- I can't even go to see my friends graduate. I should be receiving my diploma too- but I won't for a long time.
When disease appears in the bloodwork it means it is a bit more advanced that what we want. So don't pity yourself. The disease it still "underground"...
I just think it sucks you are taking prednisone- that won't cure you.
btw, I left you a philosophical answer in your other threat.
