Re: Natural Treatment for Depression
some natural remedies used to treat depression have shown they may be just as good as traditional antidepressant therapies, or at least a good compliment to traditional treatment.

Re: Natural Treatment for Depression
Is it okay to take the so called anti depressant pills? Some say, meditation is best to treat depression. As for me, when I am depressed, I would only eat some sweets and play some computer games.

Re: Natural Treatment for Depression
There are some simple guidelines to help you reduce and cope with stress in your life
Sort out relationship problems
Stress in relationships – whether this can be with a partner, friends, your teachers, your parents or other important people in your life – is really a major reason behind depression. You might want to speak with a counsellor or somebody that can help you to work things out.
Take time out
Don’t spend a lot of time worrying about stuff that are stressing you out. Take some time to do something distracting or something like that you enjoy, for example going out with friends, visiting the gym or perhaps a yoga class, playing music, playing sport or watching a film.
Keep things balanced
Try to ensure that you have a balance within your day between work and doing the stuff you enjoy. This might mean learning how to say ‘no’ often so that you don’t handle new things stuff that will put in more to-do list, or perhaps your stress levels.
Get organised
Organise your time and effort so your homework and assignments aren't left towards the last minute and prevent studying until shortly before bedtime.
Exercise
Physical activity like swimming, walking, yoga, cycling, dancing or {going to the|visiting the|exploring|coming to the} gym will help reduce the tension within your muscles and mind. Try to do a little exercise daily, regardless if it’s just walking around the block.
Relaxation exercises
Exercises that slow your breathing and relax your muscles will help with stress. Slow breathing (three seconds in, three seconds out) for 5 minutes can be a useful short-term coping strategy for when you’re feeling stressed. Relaxing your muscles might help with pains and aches, fatigue, headaches and difficulty breathing. Try sitting in a comfortable and quiet room, then tense each group of muscles for ten seconds and relax them for 10 seconds.
