Itchy & swollen patch beneath front trouser pocket with wallet -photo attached
I play golf in longs and I keep my wallet in the front trouser pocket. I walk instead of taking the buggy ... so I sweat an awful lot.
I noticed that an Itchy & swollen patch beneath the front trouser pocket (with the wallet in it) develops very quickly and takes a few days to dry up and the itch goes away. The wetness that accumulates in the fabric there also smells a bit. I noticed that it's worse if the trouser leg is tighter.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a fungal infection? Can I get any non-prescription cream for it? Is it contagious?
If I do not have anything in that pocket, there's not much of a problem.
Here are pics after walking a 4-day tournament in the hot sun in south east asia

I'd buy myself some baggy shorts where more air could circulate.
Get a fanny pack for your wallet so the pressure is more evenly distributed and in a different place. Skin just looks irritated.
Also, make sure to use a natural laundry detergent such as 7th Generation, Borax or even a Dr. Bonner's liquid soap. Something that is chemical-free.
